Nice use of light and shadow on the subject to add to the dramatic scene. The layout would better fit if the the two pictures on the right were closer to the pictures on the left. The top left image seems to overlap the one beneath it, perhaps continuing that on the two on the right and have some overlap from side to side. Not too much overlap though, just enough to increase the tension between pictures while remaining some-what rigid.

Strong collage indeed. You should get rid of the filters on the 3 small shots though, it "destroys" the image too much IMO. They loose details and the red one is a little bit hard to read.
Nice partial desaturation on the shot on the lower left corner.
Well done overall but the filters are a little bit too much.

i actually love the filtered images, have a really cool feel to them

Thanks so much for the honest, constructive critique. It is hugely appreciated! It seems to be a rare thing to get a valuable response that I can learn anything from, with regards to other sites.

I agree that the layout itself needs a lot of work, and perhaps I should have stuck to one image or reworked the concept of the collage to make it work better. Right now, it is very cheesey, hehe.

I think you should move the left column up a bit, or add a black border on the underside. I also agree with Cigaro that it should be in the Design section because of the filters. I was a bit disappointed when i realised that you have used the same photo twice, and just added a filter to one of them.
The desaturated photo would make a great artwork on it's own.
